We're excited to announce a major improvement to how you work with documents in RiskRegister.ai. Our new document viewer makes it easier than ever to view, search, and navigate through your risk documents and control evidence.

What's New?

📄 In-Browser PDF and Image Viewing

No more downloading files just to check their contents. View PDFs and images directly in your browser with our full-screen document viewer. The viewer supports:

• PDF files - Full document rendering with zoom, page navigation, and text selection
• Images - JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP formats display at optimal quality
• Other files - Word documents and Excel spreadsheets show a download option

🔍 Built-in PDF Search

Find what you need quickly with integrated PDF search. Search for specific terms, navigate between matches, and highlight all occurrences - all without leaving the viewer.

📚 Multi-Document Navigation

When you have multiple documents, the viewer shows a sidebar with all files. Features include:

• File list - See all documents with names, types, and upload dates
• Quick search - Filter the file list by name (appears when you have 5+ documents)
• One-click switching - Click any file to view it instantly
• Keyboard shortcuts - Use arrow keys to navigate, ESC to close

🎯 Context-Aware Display

The viewer shows you exactly where you are:

• Risk documents show the risk ID and name
• Control evidence shows the control reference and name
• Reports show the report type (SOA, Risk Register, Executive Summary)

⚡ Optimized for Large Collections

Managing 50+ evidence files? We've got you covered:

• Compact tab view - Shows first 10 documents in the tab
• "View All" button - Opens the full viewer with search capabilities
• Fast loading - Documents load on-demand as you navigate

Getting Started

The document viewer is available now to all RiskRegister.ai users. Simply click the "View" button (👁️) next to any PDF or image file in:

• Risk Edit → Documents tab
• Control Edit → Evidence tab
• Reports → Statement of Applicability
• Reports → Risk Register
• Reports → Executive Summary
